French Montana Donates $100,000 to a to town in Africa where most are living in property
Visuals from French Montana's recent "Unforgettable" video with Rae Sremmurd show the Bronx rapper having the time of his life in a Shanty town in Uganda. The video features the increasingly popular Triplets Ghetto Kids putting Frenchy and Sremmurd on to their slick dance moves, to the entertainment of locals. But as often becomes the case when celebrities make a trip to the continent, he did not leave without being inspired to give as much as he took away from the joyous people there.
Thanks to French, the Mama Hope Organization has been resourced with $100,000 to go towards its mission to help end extreme poverty. Mama Hope addresses the issue of poverty by promoting entrepreneurship. The funds that Frenchy are donating will be specifically marked for the construction of a health center in Suubi, and to go towards the funding of local blood banks. "I feel like sometimes God puts you in a platform where you're supposed to help other people," French told Billboard, in regards to his donation. "That touched my heart when I went out there. I wanted to give them the shirt off my back and help as soon as possible."
French has also dedicated his Unforgettable Dance Challenge to the Suubi town, in hopes that it will continue to draw attention and perhaps lead to more generous offerings.
